Coca is indigenous to Peru. Also in Peru (as in Egypt) are reed boats, mummies, and Pyramids.
It would be interesting to see comparitive pharmacological findings for Peruvian mummies. The Egyptian mummies raised eyebrows because of the presence of hashish, cocaine, and nicotine, with the latter two coming from the New World. A similar trifecta in a Peruvian mummy, especially hashish, would seal the deal.
