I agree with you. I just don't know if they knew of the Tides connection. If not, they should have before they blew this story all out of proportion.

This is very deceptive, but I expect nothing less from them. Has Katie Couric given equal time to the 9/11 Bush supporters? If so, I missed it.
I agree with you on that part, and I don't fault the media for not looking back to the finances. An honest media would know or ask whether there was a political component to a person's expression, and should have known the 9/11 widows and the Fire Union rep were politically active, politically against many Bush policies, and politically against GWB ... i.e., they are politically aligned with the DNC and actively advocate that.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if this story gets substantial play by the mass media. It darn well ought to, for the good of the Republic.
