I'm glad you'll feel safer walking down the street minus the threat of your being mugged by Martha Stewart and her posse.

What part of the fact that this is the LAW do you not understand? It has nothing to do with how I feel, nor how YOU feel. It is codified in the federal sentencing guidelines, and the judge MUST follow them.

So then you agreed that impeachment was only about sex?

What I will feel safer about is knowing that maybe some other trained/licensed ex-stock broker who worked on Wall Street is not selling shares early (on inside information) in a company that I also own shares in. Maybe this conviction will clean things up in the world of stocks...even a little would help. If I'm trusting a company enough to hand over some of my hard-earned money, I expect to be treated equal to someone like Martha Stewart.

I'm glad you'll feel safer walking down the street minus the threat of your being mugged by Martha Stewart and her posse. So you're suggesting that any crime that doesn't jeopardize people's physical safety shouldn't be punishable by jail time?

I'm glad you'll feel safer walking down the street minus the threat of your being mugged by Martha Stewart and her posse. I am glad that I can send my money to Wall street without the threat of it being jumped by Martha and her posse.

I'm glad you'll feel safer walking down the street minus the threat of your being mugged by Martha Stewart and her posse. There are lots of white collar crimes where safety and physical security of the citizens are not threatened. Shall we not punish any of those criminals with jail time?
People will think twice before trading stocks on insider tips and lying to cover it up. That IS a good thing.

"I'm glad you'll feel safer walking down the street minus the threat of your being mugged by Martha Stewart and her posse."I do.
She should serve her time like everyone else.
Of course, I've never had to ,"serve time", but neither have the people of the jury.
I am not so sure she will serve very much time. Usually, those type of people buy out the judge. Especially, if the judge is a Demon.

Laws are not just for the "little people", as those beneath her financial and social position are viewed by those in her circle.
She will not do "hard" time, but instead be in a minimum-security Federal facility. She probably will get 1-3 years, with an early release.
There is no reason she shouldn't do jail time. She knew what she was doing was wrong, then covered it up, then continued to lie to investigators. It would be worse to see her get by without any prison time, because this would only cofirm her exalted sense of her own importance.
