Don't be a wiseguy. Both answers are correct. There are probably other reasons. Would you want to be in a foxhole or on a boat with someone who opposed your mission? Would you want him responsible for covering your back?
Of course not, but your answer was too general and not specific enough. I don't know anything about this organization and that's why I asked the first question. After your answer I still don't know anything about them.
I want the Coast Guard to perform it's mission. If they can't because of this guy then boot him. If there's a policy against him taking that political position then good for the military. After the last 10 years I didn't know. Stand down.
