Yes, the first year Fox was in office (2000) the 'remittances' were only 5.9 BILLION to mexico.

However the last three years these 'remittances' now total about 35 BILLION.

If there were any improvement, we'd be seeing fewer illegals and instead we're seeing more than ever. The ONLY way Mexico will ever improve is for it's citizens to start staying home and fixing it. They need to change that government and that culture --- won't happen with the current situation.
