The proposal would let an estimated 8 million workers who are in the United States illegally gain legal status as guest workers. Wonder how the "it's not amnesty" folks will deal with this little factoid.
President Bush is dead wrong on this issue. I hope the Republicans in Congress have the guts enough to oppose him.
