Did that guy from moveon.org just endorse Kerry?? Because I don't think 527's can endorse any one candidate

Did you get his name?

This was one, if not the top story, all day long on CBS radio news. They rounded up a bunch of "9-11 victims" and "New Yorkers" to b*tch and moan about the ads. Of course they didn't even hint that someone might actually agree with the ads.

He sure seemed to. "Like every Democrat, I support John Kerry." That sure sounds like an endorsement to me.

The entire ad campaign is illegal IMO, and no one is questioning it or the BS message about overtime.

The facts would seem to help but I see none.

As I understand it, the prosed rule change is to clarify a mess that has existed for decades about the OT rules for salaried personnel.

They often want a large salary and to punch a clock as well.

The whole premise of the ad Is putrid BS! in addition to being illegal advocacy of a candidate and not an issue. The mention of Bush's name is what does that.

What other candidate is running against him but Kerry.

It looks like a primary ad against another person and is illegal as heck, as I understand the money is soft.

I watched Dan Rather tonight. After his little opinion about Bush and 9/11, the commercial came on here in MN. The commercial was tasteful and very nice. This just makes the DEMONRATS look petty and a bunch of DESPERATE WHINERS. Dan Rather and the rats can bite me.

Thanks for the link. Here is what I sent CBS News:

Mr. Rather may think that President Bush's ads should be removed. I think Mr. Rather should be removed for his obvious partisan stance in a news program, and in an election year.

I am filing a complaint with the FCC and the FEC tommorrow.

What a bunch of clymers they are.

Ok .. thanks

I think he himself can endorse a candidate .. but Moveon.org as a 527 can't

Chris kept pushing the question does Moveon.org endorse Kerry .. and my kids were talking, so I didn't hear it all

Al Gore Speaks Out to MoveOn Members

CNN.com: "Gore accuses Bush of undermining freedoms"
November 9, 2003

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Vice President Al Gore accused the Bush administration Sunday of using the war on terrorism "to consolidate its power and escape any accountability for its use." Gore said that though the threat of terrorism and the potential use of weapons of mass destruction required speedy action by the executive branch, "President Bush has stretched this new practical imperative way beyond what is healthy for our democracy." Gore said the Bush administration has sought "to rule by secrecy and unquestioned authority," and he accused Republicans in Congress of aiding the White House by threatening to shut down investigations over political disputes.

"They have taken us much farther down the road toward an intrusive, Big Brother- style government -- toward the dangers prophesied by George Orwell in his book '1984' -- than anyone ever thought would be possible in the United States of America," Gore said. He said Bush has tried to maximize his power by emphasizing his role as commander in chief of the armed forces, "conflating it with his other role as head of government and head of state, and especially with his political role as head of the Republican Party." Gore, who lost the disputed 2000 presidential race to Bush, spoke to about 2,500 members of two liberal advocacy groups, the American Constitution Society and Moveon.org.

That pathetic old scumbag Dan Rather has been in the gutter for decades. I wouldn't worry about him. I don't know a soul who watches CBS News anyways.

The liberal piggies are sure squeeling over this one. Why? Because they know the ads will work.

Hit them harder.

Everyone speaking up for the President today was eloquent and forceful. No backing down.

Just caught Dina Burnette.......she spoke up for the President and disagreed strongly with those 9/11 families against the President.

The more the media carries on against the President the more determined we republicans will be!

Nothing new there...I don't even watch any of the big 3 for news. Rather is an Internationalist just like Cronkite...totaly discredits him in my eyes.

Brit's panel agrees with you .. including Mara Liason. Mara said 9/11 was a national issue.

Fred Barnes said he thought Kerry should stop mentioning Vietnam, if Bush cannot mention 9/11.
