There is truth in what you say.

I have considered joining, and probably should, as I said, if only as a way to take a slap at the Dems.

Not that I am filled with admiration for the Republican Party, prefer it though I do to the other one.

BTW, my opinion is that it is not good politics to ignore your natural allies (such as the writer of this piece). I'd say their reticence at participation in party politics is quite understandable.

George Washington, for one, may well have agreed with such a stand.

I'm not filled with admiration for the Republican party either. But most of the people who I do admire turn out to be Republicans.

And no Dems, that I know of.
