I have a BIG problem with this:

Ammunition Restriction Study This amendment, offered by Senators Bill Frist (R-TN) and Larry Craig (R-ID), passed the Senate 85-12. Among other things, the language of this provision would commission the Attorney General to determine whether the ban on so-called "cop killer" ammunition should include superior performance bullets in popular hunting calibers such as the 30-06.

This as bad as the AWB as it could leave us with a bunch of guns that we don't "need" because of a total lack of ammo.

That amendment was designed to stop Kennedy's. It was going to be a useless study that would disappear after stating the obvious.

I can't even get over the fact that a couple of "R's" put this one into the fray...But ask me if after all that has happened today really surprised me...

Maybe they we're just messing with us...I cannot other than see that they were illustrating absurdity by being absurd...

If thats the case, and they were my Senators...Somebody would be getting a serious lecture about how tenuous their job is at this time...

I can't see that its anything other than something along those lines...

I think they have some explaining to do to their constituents in their home States...They sure would be getting a face full of me if they were from our State...

Kennedy's blithering on the floor alone today is indicative of and re-affirms our stance opposing any of the gun control methodology and agenda...

If anything I think we should be prepared for some of the most off the wall stuff to come down the pike in a long time...They are not going away anytime soon...

What we should be prepared for is something along the lines of what we have read recently to be exploited by these very same people...Because if I see it right...We will have no one to fight it at all legistlatively if it does...

Eaker...one of my customers is Hornady Manufacturing in Grand Island, Nebraska - and they are absolutely worried about this week's events - particularly this amendment. You can bet this one will pop up like a bad case of herpes on some other bill.
