Isn't this what Neal Knox said should happen so we can kill the bill?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1088432/postsYes, S. 1805 is in danger of being loaded up with anti-gun amendments in the Senate. But anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that the Senate is overloaded with anti-gunners and has been for several years. The only way to get the bill passed is to get it back to the House, where it can be cleaned up or killed.

Well Knox is right. The question now is will the bill pass the Senate? If it does, it goes to the house, they pass a clean version and it goes to conference. Hopefully a clean bill comes out of conference, and when it goes back to the Senate, I don't believe amendments are in order. That'w where we'll see who the real friends of gun owners are.

Those of us who have been in this fight for gun rights for over 30 years TOLD the Republican party what we would do if this should happen. If those Republicans, and there was more than 2, because John Warner voted with Schumer and Feinstein, would stick the knife in our back and twist it, the entire Republican party can take a hike. I will no longer vote for ANY Republican as long as I live. I am DONE with this party. You don't let this crap pass at all! You don't say, "oh we'll take care of it in conference" because it will pass and Bush will sign it. I only hope enough of us stick together to wipe the Republicans out of power for the next 10000 years. It was the GUN vote that gave the Republicans ANYTHING AT ALL -THOSE MUTHER F'ING INGRATES!!!
