Was Master and Commander any good? I'm waiting for it to come out on DVD.

Yes, it was good. Not the greatest movie of all time, but well acted, good effects, captured the spirit of the time and you always believed it was a real crew on a real vessel.

I know WAY too much about the period (have helped design and test some Age of Sail wargames) so there are quite a few historical inaccuracies, but not more than I can put up with.

Master and Comd is one of a kind in scope. Deserves
the big screen if any file does. Go, you'll like it a lot.

See it in the theatre while you still can.

I liked Lord of the Rings but I think Master and Commander was the best film of 2003.
