It all gets back to what Jesus said "What is the truth?". The truth to one group of people might be different to another...I watched "Schindlers List" and was moved I watched this movie now twice and was moved...what's the truth?

The truth is that Pontius Pilate condescendingly ASKED JESUS "What is truth?"

Actually, Pilate says this. Jesus knows and says the truth. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life...."

Pilate is shown a number of times in the movie asking about truth. He sees it as relative (a liberal, that Pilate).

Cheers, deborah

me again.

I forgot this part: ..."The truth to one group of people might be different to another...I watched "Schindlers List" and was moved I watched this movie now twice and was moved...what's the truth?"

I used to think that each person had their own truth. I think I was mistaking experience informing one's conclusions as the truth (or 'my' truth). I then realized that my experiences altered (either for the good or the bad) how I viewed truth----sometimes making it seem clearer, sometimes more difficult to see. I found that it takes constant vigilance (and sometimes I'm TOO TIRED!) to try and keep focused on an objective truth (even if I don't always understand, or it is painful, or it comes from people with whom I usually don't agree). But, that's just my...er...experience.
