All the Elect in Heaven can and do hear our prayers. They can and do pray for us. They are ALIVE and can do just as the prayer chains in your church do, they can pray TO GOD for us. So said the Gospels and the earliest Fathers of the Church. No Catholic claims that Mary, Joseph or any Saint is divine. To say what you've said is to spread venomous, anti-Catholic bigotry. If done intentionally, that would be sinful. I assume you know no better. Now you do.

They can and do pray for us.

You checked with them, did you? Since the Bible doesn't mention such a bizarre idea, your source would be what exactly? I know, I know, your "sacred traditions" told you.

Well, I hope you can pardon those of us who cannot credit such "traditions" that may well have been formulated (in part) by pedophiles or hit-and-run drivers. Only the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy of our trust. Accretionist groups like the RCC and the Mormons (who believe they are authorized to add to or take away from the Scripture) are playing with fire. Literally.

Yes!! And I would rather petition the Elect in Heaven to pray for me! I'll bet you every last dollar I am worth on this Earth many persons involved in prayer chains are so distracted by desires of the flesh that they forget I ever asked them for prayer . . . I know . . . I am one of those distracted souls . . .

Some Roman Catholics, including Mel Gibson, hold to the position that Mary is co-redemptrix and co-mediatrix. I am sure that I can find the sources and post them for you if you wish. These positions are blasphemous insults to the person and work of Jesus Christ. As such they are heretical.

The bottom line is that there were ample reasons for my forebearers to leave the RCC. It was not so much that they left Rome, but that Rome left them. That was codified at the Council of Trent when the RCC placed its curse on anyone who believed that man is justified by faith alone. If Rome were willing to denounce this curse, there might be room for dialogue. As it stands now, however, dialogue is impossible.
