What year was your church founded? What version of the Bible is your choice? When was it written and why is that somehow not "the frying pan"?
Christ appointed the Apostles. The Holy Ghost guided them and helped them select their successors, starting with the replacement of Judas in the very first days of the Catholic (Universal), Apostolic Church. Their direct, lineal successors are the Bishops of the Catholic and Apostolic Church of today, led by the first among them, the Vicar of Christ, His Holiness Pope John Paul II.

The concept of God sanctioning of a particular institution (i.e., the Catholic Church of the Roman Bishop) means little, if anything, to most Protestants.< /devil's advocate>

I am a firm believer in the afterlife and the general message that Jesus gave in the bible: love your neighbor. I am suspicious of anybody who claims to know the details of God's work on earth, which includes you judging from your post #24. What makes me laugh is the fact that is was so obviously disseminated in the bible how beyond our comprehension God and heaven are, yet people try to tell the rest of us just how it is. The next thing that makes me laugh is how some people take the bible so literally. Actually it makes me cringe; the bible is as fraught with errors as are the rest of us humans that write anything down on paper.

My, don't you sound boastful! Not at all like St. Paul who said he had nothing to boast about but the crucified Christ. Religious pride is toxic. It was the major reason the Pharisees hated Jesus so. It causes death and destruction in our world today. Beware.

Short answers?
1. Pentecost, around 30 AD.
2. Hebrew OT, Greek NT.
3. Acts 16:31, John 8:31, 32.
Any sect that flatly contradicts fundamental Biblical teachings is no church Christ founded.

Don't start with that stuff else I'll remind you that your "First Pope", i.e. Peter, had to be corrected in his doctrine by the Apostle Paul. So much for Papal Infallibility... If the "First Pope" was in error, the whole house of cards comes tumbling down, so I don't think it would be wise to be so smug.

Arguable but I get your point.
I don't know that Christ would have claimed quite a number of so called Christians in every era and probably in every organization and "Christian" structure.
We just love being pharisees too much for His comfort or pleasure.
