my niece plays basketball for a Jewish Community Center team. Yesterday they played the Methodists and right before the tipoff an 11 year old girl said to my niece in an angry and audible voice, "You killed my Savior!" NICE!

I am unaware of Methodist theology (or that of any other Christian denomination) that would teach a child to tell another child that "you killed my Savior" 2000 years after the Crucifixion. She didn't get it from a Christian church nor from the movie The Passion.

Rejoice! His death was planned. All went according to plan. Even Judas did his part. Even from evil deeds, something VERY GOOD happened.

The girl who said that to your niece is an ignorant child with extremely bad manners. A loser, in short. I hope your niece's team beat the pants off the opposition.

As a Bible believing Christian, I am sorry for what was said to your niece. The point of the movie is forgiveness not blame. We all nailed Him to the cross and all share the blame, but he loves and forgives us. And most of all He TOOK the blame for all OUR sin and paid our debt, so now we can have a relationship with a HOLY Father God. If Jesus had not suffered for us, everyone of us would be facing that judgement for a Holy God who can not tolerate sin. That is what I believe and pray others accept.
This story you told does sadden me.
I pray someone corrected and teaches the offending child this Truth. We all killed Jesus.
Hugs your neice for me.... please.
Sincerely, Tess

And THAT little example of Christian tolerance should have been rewarded with being bounced from the game at the least.

Did this Methodist child see the movie?
Frankly if she said that she got it from all the anti semite press pushing this garbage and the hollyweirdos and the abe foxmans of the world that was in full force saying this crap for the past few months.
The movie does not allude to this in any way.
Last night my husband and I had a frank talk about this subject and we discussed all the people we have known our entire lives and we NEVER ever heard a person say they didnt like a Jew because they killed Jesus.

... an 11 year old girl said to my niece in an angry and audible voice, "You killed my Savior!" That's a bizarre outburst, unusual especailly from a child, and likely reflecting parental influence.
I'm not sure how I would handle an outburst like that.

You killed my Savior!REPLY.........Yes....but he wouldn't be your SAVIOR if someone hadn't.
Why does this nonsense even exit? If Christ DIDN'T willingly DIE for ALL OF OUR SINS then none of us could go to HEAVEN. The WHOLE IDEA was for him to DIE FOR OUR SINS, so we would be saved. What is so hard to understand about that?

Your niece should say, "I LOOK REMARKABLY WELL FOR MY AGE THEN, DON'T I?
I had a friend who was taking her daughter out of a fine public school because a kid made an anti-semetic remark. I told her she should teach her child how to respond instead of running away. I mean, isn't that what we did in Germany. We didn't fight back. NEVER AGAIN.

NICE!Thing is, the bratty Methodist kid may not have gotten the idea from her parents, or the movie...she may have picked it up from the media and/or Abe Foxman. The media is practically daring folks to have anti-Semitic thoughts.

All this proves is that your niece met the daughter of some anti-Semites. The world is full of such as these and they need to be confronted with the truth spoken firmly and in love. This child is merely parroting what she hears at home.

Your implication that the movie is to blame for the comment made to your niece reminds me of the Democrats making issues of such things as Vietnam and gay marriage, and then when Bush responds they accuse him of trying to divide America.
It was Jewish personalities who raised this issue a year before the movie was even released.

Well had that little girl the ability to apply logic to the situation, she would realize that everything happened as planned. God knew the jewish leaders would deny His son. They actually helped out the whole world in a way. They played a part in our salvation.
