I couldn't agree with you more.
I grew up in a strong Catholic faith, and at no time were the Jewish people blamed on the death of Jesus.
I often wonder if that isn't a front just to defend the anti-Christian attacks that are permeating out there?
while that may be the case with abe foxman et al, i don't think it is the case with the rank and file Jews. i readily admit that i have had no exposure to anti-semitism and since i believe we all see things through the prism of our own experiences, i fully expect Jews, who have had different experiences than mine, will see anti-semitism or at least fear it, in places where you or i would not.
but i just saw the film reviewer Tom Friedman, on the Passion, on hannity and colmes and his take is just ludicrous and is a front for an attack, i will grant you that.
