Ummm, what you describe has been a fact in most states, for a long time. All Hatch is porposing is that all States permit LEO's from any other state to CCW.

Next step, Federal mandate for reciprocity of CCW (like we have now for DL), then, final step, no permitting process required. Hey, I can dream.
