Posted on 02/25/2004 4:47:28 AM PST by conservativefromGa

Senate debate on the gun manufactures liability bill will begin at 9:30 this morning on C-Span2. Expect Feinstein to attach her Assault Weapons Ban renewal rider on it. Also McCain may attach a rider closing the so called "gun show loophole". This is it folks.

I'm just reading this stuff, but it sounds like the worst nightmare from the last decade has returned. The same old stuff.

And I think we're going to get REALLY reamed by the republicans too. Realllll bad. Unless they are playing this to amend it up enough to kill it, somehow.. I'm starting to doubt it though.

Hey jackass. Can't you count? Look at the list I posted above. Your beloved Republicans SOLD US OUT.

Are you so enamored of the GOP that you actually think one single Libertarian or RLC candidate would have voted with those 23 traitors?

Get a grip.

Did he just say a .30-30 went through THREE cops wearing bullet proof vests? One round?

There ought to be a federal law against legislators lying thorough their teeth like this.

Making the Bill, as a whole, unpalatable
is the purpose of the obnoxious ammendments.

The Boxer Amendment... requiring locks on all guns... even in your own home. Might as well call it the Surrender To The Criminals Instead Of Defending Yourself Act.

Oh come on now! It's for the children. *blecch* *heave*

He had a point...If I am correct most high powered rifles wil defeat body armor right?? So would this ban all those calibers? 30-06, .270, .300 etc.??

Hey, but at least gun makers can't be sued

Not true. They can still be sued for 'defective' products. Who's to say what the meaning of 'defective' is?

If an internal locking device breaks or malfunctions, is that defective? If a homeowner can't see the little red chamber loaded indicator in a dark room, is that defective? I have a strange feeling that any gun which actually fires and kills an intruder must be defective somehow to the dems.

An ice pick or a pointed knife will defeat soft armor
