This passed. I need to read the details to find out if it IS safe storage or just sales. Does is mearly suck, or is it worth it.
If it's safestorage - it's a bill killer.

I think I see the three-tiered plan now:
A- Make all guns illegal. (if no, proceed to B)
B- Make all guns inaccessible and unusable. (proceed to C)
C- If all else fails, lie like hell and claim Bush kills 3 kids per hour until November.

"Aye" from Snowe as well. Methinks this amendment is the "Gunlock Industry Protection Amendment," and only requires sales of handguns to be accompanied by the sale of a compatible triggerlock.

Either they are trying to poison pill the whole thing to death, or we've been sold out big.

"Aye" from Snowe as well. Methinks this amendment is the "Gunlock Industry Protection Amendment," and only requires sales of handguns to be accompanied by the sale of a compatible triggerlock.I just bought a brand new Para P14-40 and it came with a lock. I don't use it now and never will. I believe all handguns come with the locks now anyway..But we DON'T need a law saying so!!!!!

If this stuff passes, I'll only vote 3rd party for life. I'm absolutely miserable here at the thought of it.

I suspect that this bill calls for guns to have integral trigger locks...very failure prone.
I want these bastards to waive Soverign Domain. If a homeowner is killed because he can't disengage the safety, his survivors should be able to sue the living dog snot out of the government.
