Forget all the gay crap in the news... that's a smoke screen! This AW ban only passes with Republican help.

A passed AWB means no votes for that party regardless of individual votes. No excuses!

A passed AWB means resignation & no more cash for the NRA or its affiliates. No excuses!

A passed AWB means a boycott of any gun manufacturer who pushed for it or is a member of a trade organization that pushed for it. No excuses!

Here's GOA's Legislative Action Center page. Use it to find your congresscritter. http://www.gunowners.org/activism.htm

Just proof we need more republican in the senate. It will give the rino's less room and even less job secuirty.

This is why we have primaries.

(begin evil laugh)

Hmmm. The Bush Administration could play some fun games with the dems on this issue. Frist could promise Daschle a Senate vote on the AWB only after the dems allow a Senate vote on Bush's nominees. The nominees get approved and take office, then the AWB passes only to die in the House.

"Who are the 3 repbulicans?"

Burried in the article:

GOP Sens. John Warner of Virginia, Mike DeWine of Ohio and Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island.

Snowe and Collins are consistent in their votes relating to firearms laws. Snowe was a co-sponsor of S.659.

Snowe and Collins are okay on firearms legislation. The NRA gives them both high marks. Maine is fairly firearm friendly (shall issue, has been for as long as I've been here -- since '84).

"Although I voted against the ban a decade ago, over the past 10 years it has reduced crime dramatically and has made our streets safer," Warner said. "The legislation also has protected the rights of gun owners better than many of us predicted."

I'd like to see the proof of that statement.
