I did put it outside right away. This was inside a sealed box of cereal from the store. Doesn't say much for quality control at Kelloggs. I'm going to e-mail them.

I would e-mail Kellogg, but it most likely was infested in the warehouse of your local grocery store or their distributor. I would change grocery stores if I were you.

Were you shopping at one of the chains where the stores were on strike? I know we've had horrible food situations (and I'm not all that far from you) b/c of the strikes...things in the stores that are WAY past expiration dates, etc...stories about milk being 3 weeks past the date on the cartons, etc...

Perhaps it had been in the warehouse a long time b/c there weren't as many distributions, etc?

Just a thought...but I'd also let the store know.......
