DAYTON, Ohio -- A Dayton man was assaulted Friday morning after he tried to stop two men from leaving the scene of an accident.
The fight happened at the corner of East Third Street and Linden Avenue after the men crashed an SUV into a utility pole.
The man who witnessed the accident saw the men in the SUV act suspicious. He approached the men and told them not to leave the scene of an accident.
Officers said one of the men bit the witness' finger and then fled the scene.
Investigators said after they searched the SUV, they found some ***high-powered military weapons***. If the two men are caught, they could face weapon charges among other charges related to the accident and assault.

This is also an area where one of the powder scares occurred a week ago.
I wish I knew how to do GIS. It would really be great to mark these powder scares, strange illnesses, bomb scares and stuff to see how they are geographicly related.
