A little tidbit of news out of Kentucky tonight:
Knox County reported that a routine bust of a rural meth lab revealed the presence of an IED in the perp's garage shop.
ATF and Emergency Mngt. have rolled. They're going to blow it in place - and to hell with the garage!!!

Whoa!! What the heck do drug dealers need IED's for? Guns I can understand, but why an explosive device?

Great tidbit, thanks. That wouldn't be covered on the perp's insurance plan either, I bet. Heh,heh.

Sarge, back in my law enforcement days, it was nothing unusual for the meth lab types to rig up booby traps just in case they were busted.
In one case, they rigged up a can of ether to a light switch, so when you turned the lights on it would explode.
Nasty business, those drug labs.
