I don't particularly want to vote for a third party, (I was one of GWB's Florida margin in 2000) but I think it would be a good idea if the GOP thought I might do so.

I see no other way of discouraging their leftward drift.

I'd never waste my vote on a 3rd party candidate in any national election. It's masturbatory at best, and fatal at its worst. Ralph Nader helped algore lose Florida, and now Ralph is running again. Whoopie!

You live in Florida and you are considering a Third Party vote? That's sad. I hope you will think about what is at stake here before you make that kind of decision. If Kerry wins and leaves our national security decisions up to the U.N. (which is what he has said, by the way, we can count on another attack. If that happens, nothing else will matter because the economy will be destroyed. Please help us here...don't leave now. Your vote is needed. Fraud will be a factor..we cannot afford to lose even one vote. Thanks for listening.

I can certainly see your point. Other than my vote, what leverage do I have to move the administration back to the right?

Certainly you would not suggest I tell the President, no matter how far to the left you go, you can always count on my vote??

Charlotte,

I suggest writing a real live paper letter to the President, word processed and all. In the hierarchy of communication to any public servant, email is LAST, then blast faxes, then real faxes, then phone calls, and finally at the top is the paper letter. They are tangible, require time and effort to send, and cannot be dumped into the bit bucket. Lots of paper letters make an impression.

(I think I got the hierarchy in the middle right, but the drift is about the same.)

This from Freeper Mediaqueen, who is a media and communications genius. I hope she comes to the thread.

More later, Charlotte - I'm too tired to type any more.

best...
