The way it works in California is that initially, most judges are appointed by the Governor to a vacancy. Thereafter, they must be elected on a periodic basis. Judges can be recalled, but good luck in trying to recall any frootloop judge in Sodom Francisco.

Thanks, well I feel somewhat better than they actually do have to face the people eventually. Sort of lessens my faith in the people in California though.
