The hostility vented by children in name calling is perfectly normal. It's a non violent way of participating in the herd.
Now eliminate name calling, and you're left with plain old ass kicking in the schoolyard to establish the order within the herd.
Sheesh, and I thought liberals were supposed to be smart? I guess that's a name too.........Sorry!

Always eager to support public education, Sen. John F. Kerry supports having a "No Name-Calling" booth at the GLSEN Seminars in Massachusetts, right next to the Fisting Information Booth.
</barf, sarcasm>
But seriously, check out the article on No Name-Calling Week at the GLSEN website:

LOL You guys are funny!
How on earth will Dems. learn how to use an adjective?
How can the *Left* talk about Bush for a week if there is no name calling?
To: lainie
Hm. What should we homeschooling families do to mark the occasion? :-) Well, home-schooled kids generally have better vocabularies, so you probably need not worry about them calling each other "doofus," "moron," "fatso," "nerd," and so on.
But in the spirit of the occasion, perhaps you might remind them not to refer to one another as "feckless," "reductionistic," "unapprehending," "fatuous," "pyknic," or "prosaic."

Actually I think it's an insult and diversion from the real issues of bullying in schools. Parents are responsible for teaching children respect. Too bad public schools are so anti-God otherwise they'd know to love their neighbor.

Damn public schools spending all their time with complete BS like this instead of producing educated kids, as they scream for more tax money every year......
