FNC has gotten bad.
With respect to the NASCAR thing, remember that all of these reporters think the entire world exists only between Boston and Washington DC.

I'll agree with that. They don't even drive cars up there.

FNC has gotten bad. Tony Snow's departure was because he was too pro US, pro conservative, according to a tv industry observer that I heard on the radio.
Plus, he did come from the GHWB administration (ABC apparently doesn't care about the Steffie's credentials as a very boring
host coming from a very corrupt administration...)
I stopped watching FNC with any consistency or duration for many "little" things that added up: constant sound effects,
constant on screen annoyances, tabloidial overkill to any number of stories, little international news, too many
Clintonistas "spinning the daily DNC talking points" rather than the topic...

This morning on one of the news shows, and I think it was Fox News, they said the highest concentrations of Nascar fans are in NYC and LA.

I think this is the clue. Whenever Brit is there, things seem to run more conservative .. during the weekend (Friday, Sat, and Sun) when Brit is only there on Sunday morn, it does seem a whole lot more liberal. I do like Brian doing Weekend Live, but that's when I leave it.
Actually, I was watching the NASCAR show on NBC, and they did a fair job of showing the arrival of Air Force One and the motorcade. Even the NBC guy who interviewed the President did a very nice job.
