What, and disturb all those rocks? That's monstrous! I say we declare Mars a U.N. World Heritage site so that it can never be used for anything. Yeah, that's the way to go. Then we'll have to send missions to clean up all that space trash we've been lobbing over there. Must keep things pristine for future generations, after all.

Just kidding. Strip mining is definitely the way to go.

...except for old-growth rockpiles...whether they cause forest fires or "whatever"...or not. It's for the churldrun.
