Funny, the Sept 11 terrorist attacks are the most pivotal event in recent memory (not to mention still pretty relevant)YET KERRY APPEARS TO HAVE GOTTEN OVER THEM!

When Kerry says "our generation," I'm sure he means his own generation, which is the only generation that matters, ya know. Everytime a liberal baby-boomer stubbed his toe, during the late 60s, it was a pivotal moment. I'm not demeaning what those, who fought in Vietnam, when through, but, it is as you said, September 11 was a very pivotal moment in recent history.
