What's wrong with both of them going full throttle at once? Hit him from both sides.

I'm with you. While I find the affair story repugnant, and consider it a valid point on which to help guide one's vote (against such behavior), making hoopla of the affair has three negatives:
1) it helps Bill Clinton's hope of a brokered convention, and
2) it tars the Republicans as Victorian prudes (even though the issue was brought up by Clinton's men, Lehane and Clark).
3) it draws fire away from Kerry's "aid and comfort for the enemy" and voting record stories, both strong vulnerabilities for him.
For once, I agree with left... Move on. Republicans should stay mum on this issue.
