Cleland was wrong to attach President Bush on his record. I cannot change that. He is a liberal and a moron. But he served, and lost limbs while in service. End of story. It's NOT "end of story". Cleland used his service to imply that he was somehow "better" than "weekend warriors". By extension, I'm going to guess that he has the same attitude about his Senate service - that he's somehow "better" than the average voter.
He gets no "handicapped pass" from me.

It should be the end of story. Smearing his service is no less disgraceful than him smearing the president's service.
IMHO, he is acting like a cad, and is doing something most vets would not do (but as a vet, I will not act like a cad just because another vet chooses to.)
Coulter was wrong to write what she wrote. If you agree with her methods, then that is your issue.
It's not about getting a pass because he got his leggs blown off while in the Army. Its about calling him a disgraceful liberal because he is wrong on the issues and that telling out and out lies about a former vet goes against some of the values that (I hope) he had while he wore the uniform. That is what it is about.
