That just isn't so; when two lesbians decide to live together it because they don't want to live with men and when two men do the same it is for the same reason.

When a man and a woman marry or live together they do so with the acknowledged risk of a pregnancy ensuing and they may not always want to have a child at the time or maybe never but they do not generally marry for the legal benefits alone.

The homosexuals of today want to marry because they want to reorder society, a disease as old as any plague known to mankind; sure there are some legal benefits that would accrue by virtue of the recognition of their marriage but none that can't currently be granted by one party to the other by law absent marriage.

The business of recreational sex is a bit of argumentative nonsense because in marriage sex often becomes a duty rather than fun and every couple can attest to that if they are honest people.

I was on the verge of developing a nascent sympathy for gays who were closeted out of their fear of loathing but this current bunch are but a batch of buttheads and I wouldn't give you a dime for a dollar's worth of them.

=== The homosexuals of today want to marry because they want to reorder society,

They're over a generation behind the heteros who deconstructed both family and marriage over a generation ago by claiming "rights" to the failsafe birth control which precipitated abortion (the lethal assault on the weakest member of the Family) and using "no fault" divorce and "palimony" among other legal conceits to strip them of the freedom to bind themselves.

Among the legal benefits of marriage for homosexuals IS INDEED the "right" to have their own children as they see fit (or can afford ... a third, for-profit party being vital to all homosexual "conception.")

And it was the heteros who etched that "right" in stone for them as well.

I have sympathy for homosexuals ... even those cynical enough to want just what cash they can get for their "domestic partner" (another hetero advance).

They've been deluded by we sexually liberated heteros into thinking the State's some kind of egalitarian god who'll not only dream up whatever we need in the way of rights to make our "marriages" the most selfish of all possible relationships but will ensure that everyone gets an equal shot at bliss in the mutually-beneficial Economic arrangement one has with one's current squeeze in our serial polygamy society.

"...sure there are some legal benefits that would accrue by virtue of the recognition of their marriage..."

Prof, as a 56 year old guy who was married (two times) for a total of 27 years, I have a slightly iconoclastic view of marriage and "homosexual marriage."

I believe that for the most part the men instigated marriage into their relationships with women in order to get sex and to keep their women to themselves.

I believe that starting with my generation women instigated marriage into their relationships with men in order to accomplish their maternal instinct and acquire financial security provided to them by either their husband or the courts. Since this time men are much less eager to get married...after all the sex is available and there is no committment or as many consequences (legally speaking).

I think that the homosexuals are at least one or two generations behind heterosexuals with regard to marriage. I believe that if this "homosexual marriage" thing takes hold, those poor fools will be sooooo sorry.

Today neither party in a homosexual couple can push the other to marry ('cause it ain't legal). Under the new paradiagm one party or the other will start to push and of course the other will give in for the sex. Later there will be the much more lasting state of "homosexual divorce." The term "gay" may die there...nothing like a divorce and spousal support and community property settlements and perhaps even child support to take the gay right out of being "gay."

All I can say is the homosexuals ought to be careful what the ask for because they might get it.

I think they want to marry because, deep in their hearts, they KNOW it is wrong. If society validates it, then at least 'they say' it is ok. They will still know in their hearts it is wrong, but they will have the covering of the State to make them legitimate. Tho it won't.

You may not want to hear what I'm about to say, but if I don't say it,then I won't be true to my beliefs. All of you people are saying that gay relationships wrong and that they are trying to go against society. This isn't true. You say that they're only in it for the benefits of a married couple, but why would someone willingly subject themselves to this verbal abuse and hatred just for a few benefits? You people are saying that being gay is immoral and wrong, but who said it was up to you to decide what's right and what's wrong? This should be between them and God! You have no right to punish these people for being themselves! You should applaud them for having the courage to come out and tell the world who they are when they know they will get persecuted! When two people love each other they should have the right to get married! Being a homosexual is not a choice or a decision! Its not like by protesting this, you can change the way they are? What if, in the beginning God had created a woman and a woman instead of a man and woman, then every one you people would be persecuted right now for being straight instead of gay! Just because something goes against the norm, doesn't mean its wrong! I mean really, if it wasn't for Dr. Martin Luther King going against the norm, African Americans would still be treated badly! Its the same with women's rights and many other things! The tittle of this page was "What We Can Do To Help Defeat The "Gay" Agenda. What "agenda" are you talking about? You people are acting like homosexuals are out to get us all! That's ridiculous!!! Aren't YOU the ones that are out to get THEM? Honestly, think about what you're doing to these people! Subjecting them to toucher basically because of who they are! Ever since I was A small child, my father used to say this to me :Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.Its called the Golden Rule, if more people followed that, this wold would be a different place. I'm not saying that you don't have the right to disagree with how they choose to live their life, I'm saying that you don't have the right to hate them for it. Now, I'm only 15, and if I know this, then why shouldn't you? I mean, you people are supposed to be lecturing US on right and wrong, what has this world come to if we are now lecturing you?
