This one really does take the prize!!

Objects the size of school buses can be seen in the full size image, the scientists say, though there is no evidence for any such transportation devices on the planet.

Yeah, riiiiiiight.
No evvvvvvvidence.

"...can be seen in the full size image..." (probably with their
flashers going, and that little stop sign sticking out.)

Dikes of Molten rock? Fossilized sand dunes? Eroded remains of a meteor creater? Please. Thanks to our favorite Martian expert, Richard C. Hoagland, we all know what these really are, ANCIENT SIGNS OF CIVILIZATION LEFT BEHIND BY THE MARTIANS. :-P

If these are ruins of artificial structures, what would have been their purpose?

I have noooooooo clue.

Trying to get into Hoagland mode...
Could be homes at the base of a circular wall. A wall I might add, I don't see...but hey, if you are Hoagland, everything could be explianed away. :-P

A huge amphitheater. Theater or sports. Perhaps they had a wardrobe malfunction at halftime one day and their civilization began its final collapse right then.

Well, I think its pretty obvious that the ridge is not a natural formation. I suspect it's the Martian version of Mt. Rushmore. See the similarity:

I'm no scientist, but those squiggly things look like ancient fossilized spermatite. We may need a bigger rover.
