Why is it so hard to understand that without the votes of people who don't see things as you do, Bush will lose?
Most voters don't see things as you do, and they will make their decisions in November on different criteria than you.
Now, Bush might get enough votes to win, but not because everyone came the same conlusions in casting their votes that you did.
However, to the extent that there's a risk to the President's reelection, it's because there's a risk that he may lose votes that were his to lose, and if that happens, they would be predictable and preventable losses.
Now, what's easier: to persuade millions of people you don't know to see the world as you do, or to persuade a politician not to take those votes for granted?
