Perhaps our scientists can develop a missile that goes off in different directions too. It might be hard to catch Teddy and Michael Moore together. I mean, they won't fit in the same room.

Hahahahaha!
Next, let's work on a stupid-seeking missile. We could plug Movie Star characteristics into the computer and find what makes them incurably idiotic.

For the money, I'll take the F18. First, you will need have it gone through and have the entire airframe inspected, the engines pulled, broken down and replace many, many parts....Ahh, just junk 'em and buy new engines, probably as cheap. Then assemble your new aircraft. Ready to fly? Hang on a sec!! There is more! Since ejection seats are verboten in civilian avaiation, you will need to come up with new seats, oxygen system (assuming they use LOX) and lots of avionics (can't use military, not FAA approved). Then there is the FAA inspection and flight certification. I don't know how that would be done.
What am I forgetting? Oh, yeah! You have to be typed for the F-18, and since the one offered is likely a single seater, finding a tandem F-18 to train and someone to sign off on your rating will be a challenge. Probably have to go to a foreign government to get that. Then there is on going maintainence...
Cost? Probably $10-15 million over and above the cost of the jet. I dunno...

Looks like one of those cars in "bargain" section of the classifieds. "Needs some work."
Aw heck, nothin' a little bondo and paint won't fix. :)

Actually, the airframe has 3793 TT Total Airframe hours, and the engines have 0 (zero) time (doesn't say if that is flight time or running time). Engines alone are with the price.

No offense against Victor, and this is a great thread, but...
Why in the bloody world is the Useful Idiot Caption-A-Rama (with actual news/political content) moved to chat by the time I post reply #2, but this Ebay stuff is on bloody reply 37 and still on News/Activism?
Just asking...

FReeper Foxhole project plane? Wouldn't that be sweet! We need some land and a few pole barns and hangers for tanks and planes. We'd have a blast! Now if I'd just win the lottery!

HEY! I actually expected it to be moved immediately. And I apologize, I don't mean to mess up your party, it's just that the Caption-A-Rama has been moved to chat repeatedly lately (to the point that I just started posting it to chat to save hassle) and my requests for a reason have brought no response. Bloody frustrating.
Maybe we should post a Westminster dog show thread and see how long it stays on News...
