Muslim leaders in the three southern border provinces are demanding a meeting with Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and Interior Minister Wan Muhamad Nor Matha in the wake of a surprise military raid on an Islamic school.

Waedueramae Maminchi, chairman of the Pattani Islamic Committee, said the meeting should set clear guidelines to prevent a recurrence of ``past mistakes''.

On Sunday, Islamic leaders of Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat provinces sad they were suspending cooperation with the authorities.

Local Islamic groups were left furious by the raid on Triamsuksa Withaya ponoh school in Muang district, Pattani, by about 80 soldiers on Friday night.

The schools are Saudi funded.

Seems to be a recurring theme. Sooner or later, we're going to have to plow that country under.

They're creating mischief all over the world. The Thais need to regularly inspect and regulate these "schools."

It is my position that Muslims have no place in Thailand and ought to be eliminated, as of yesterday.

While Thailand does have it's fair share of problems....they sure don't deserve this scourge.....no one does.

MOST Thais (Bhuddists and Muslims)live comfortably side by side. It just seems a darned shame that some people feel the need to stir the pot....

LOS bump....

If they were left furious, then the Thais must have done something right!

Yeah, I agree. The angrier that Muslims get, the quicker [I hope and dream] we realize something will have to be done about them!

If Christians and other non-Muslims are living right, they will anger Muslims 100 times a minute, all over the world.
It is when the "infidels" are NOT angering Muslims, that I would start to worry!
