Did you hear it? - The quote doesn't make sense without the stuff about the brother, and I didn't really get it all.... no tape to replay it.

Hillary's Lovely Legs posted it earlier. If that is what he said, and he was quoting his *brother's* comments about Bush, then that makes more sense (like I noted earlier, Sean Astin's on a presidential commission). But it's not a good sound bite, at any rate, simply because it doesn't make much sense and people will take away from it that he called the president a boob!

He did say his brother said it and it was meant as a joke relating the Janet. I didn't take it as a political statement, but at an attempt at humor.

I would second that it was not a good thing to say. ... I am aware of the President's Commission stuff and his USO work (me big LoTR fan) I know that he is a Democrat, but he has been smarter than this stuff up to now.... smarter than some others in the cast.

It was a quote of the brother.... and he started to continue about it or spin it.... but Joan cut him off.
