He wasn't tentative that's just his style...he doesn't hate his enemies the way I hate his enemies. There is none of that "Al Gore ignorance" in him.
In a sense this drives me nuts, just as it did during the debates of 2000...the door is constantly left open for the President to walk through and shove it up the opponents butts yet he won't do it.

Oh yeah, I agree. I am not quite so good a Christian as President Bush. I hold grudges and when somebody attacks me I am wont to hit back harder and with everything I have.
It has served me well in my life but I'm not a politician.

the door is constantly left open for the President to walk through and shove it up the opponents butts yet he won't do it.You never use your trump card until the final hand.
The debates in the fall will define the candidates just as they defined Al Gore in 2000.
Kerry will look like a long-faced Howard Dean and Bush will be the steady Bush.
Character counts for everything unless one candidate is a charming con man like #42.
Kerry is no Clinton.
He will come across as a mean-spirited Gore.

(I don't believe anything a Democrat says. Bill Clinton set the standard!)

"...the door is constantly left open for the President to walk through and shove it up the opponents butts yet he won't do it."I think Bush subscribes to the old adage "give 'em enough rope and they'll hang 'theirselfs'".......which is what his opponents do, at regular intervals.....
Heart-stopping, at times, but fun to watch!! ;^)
