Believe me, 'babe', there are plenty of conservatives wailing about these deficits.

Many of us warned and warned and warned against this spending orgy, but to no avail.

Now the political chickens are coming home to roost. Might be awhile before the economic chickens come home to roost, but they will. No doubt about it.

Is it fixable? Of course.

Will it be fixed if conservatives remain mute? Nope.

Even the President himself is beginning to address this problem.

Thank God.

One footnote: it is still highly doubtful that the RATs will be able to capitalize on this political opportunity...simply because they have no credibility on the subject.

If the Republicans address it now, in a grownup fashion, the stick the Dems would like to beat us with will be taken from their hands.

Time to get started.

EV, why did you pick such a fabricated argument when THIS was one of the reasons I was angry in the first place? Blaming Bush when he has done everything humanly possible to bring this country back with nearly impossible odds was getting a bit much. As a conservative, remaining silent was not an option when some of the worst attacks on him were coming from *conservatives.* It is beyond the pale.
