Since 2000 there has always been an 80/20 split on FR between GOP conservatives and 3rd party libertarians/populists/paleo-conservatives.

Is that a personal guesstimate, or has someone done the research?

When you add the libertarian/populist/paleo-con/JBS contengient together yes it is about 20%.
