Thanks, I thought that was the answer, but I wanted it confirmed, and bring it to the attention of others as well, because one can easily overlook, that something originated at one of the "must be excerpted" sites, when one reads it at another site.

I haven't heard that Debka minded, whether we post the full article or excerpt it.
The above list is the list of articles to be excerpted, based on the lawsuit.

Isn't it safer just to excerpt all articles?

For example, if Reuters posts a WP article or one of their author's articles, it must be excerpted.
How are we (you) supposed to know who writes for the WP? Also some of these guys feelance too, so you can't put a simple check for "Charles Krauthammer" in the Author and have it work all the time. Arg, what a headache.

Check it out.

That's completely up to you.

Excerpting all articles would be a very poor idea in my opinion, many times newspapers remove their articles after 7-30 days from their server, and we wouldn't be able to access it afterwards.
When the article is posted in its entirety, it is preserved on the FR servers, for future reference.

Question:
-- If the threads original posting complies with the short excerpt rule, are we breaking the agreement by posting more of the article in the reply portions of the thread?
Could multiple posters quote excerpts to different parts which would, - in effect, have the whole article on the thread?

We have been asked we still honor this request from International Herald Tribune.
To: tpaine
That would be a breach.
