There's no 13th tribe. There are Jewish descendants throughout Africa. Jewish tradesmen and refugees have settled extensively all along the shore of the Indian Ocean. No doubt successful and intelligent men, whether Jewish or otherwise, have always found a way to make a very, very large genetic, cultural and historic imprint on any area in which they have settled.
Recently it was reported that in the area held by the Mongols in the Middle Ages 10% of all the men have the same "y" chromosome as did Ghengis Khan.
That would include China, India, vast portions of the Middle East, and Russia!

Actually there were thirteen tribes. There were twelve, including Joseph and Levi. Joseph addopted Jacobs two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, made a new tribe of Manasseh and Ephraim replaced the tribe of Joseph making thirteen tribes.
The Levites were spread among the other tribes as priests and teachers, making it look like twelve.
I would tend to think they couldn't have been black, though. They would have to look like the rest of the tribes.
