benazir has an outstanding warrant for her arrest, politically motivated, no doubt, by Mush's govt, but doesn't mean she didn't, along with her husband, Mr. 10Percent, as he was known, amass a huge fortune.
She was defeated by Nawaz Sharif who was overthrown by Mush.
Under her tutelage, she was powerless to confront the jihadi military mullah complex, and in order to stay in power, looked the other way while Khan was upto his tricks, and allowed the taliban to be set up in Afghanistan since she was powerless to confront the military or the ISI.
She talks good with all the right buzzwords for a western audience, giddy with the prospect of an muslim woman who can talk their talk, but was totally ineffectual and corrupt as a leader. She remains a darling of the media and women's groups in the west.

Howzat? Most excellent. The various bio's I read did paint her in a rather glowing light. I appreciated your insight as I don't trust the media.
