I was thinking about the things you listed and trying to reassure myself. Then, I semi remembered the supposed "letters" sent to GWBush, and how supposedly if we conceeded certain things (like returning all the Muslim lands, etc.)they would call off the attack. Then, that last letter where they said we had not responded so they had no choice but to go ahead.
Another part that worries me is all the AQ advance apologies.

I was worried about the same things (supposed letters, apologies, etc).

Yet, nothing has gone "kerplooey" yet. And, they stated that it WOULD. DEFINITELY. BY 2/2.

When I was a young lad, the story of the Little Boy That Cried Wolf really stuck with me for some reason. This seems just like that, and every threat they make with no vaporized cities adds to the ridiculousness of it all.

Now, we hear that the flight cancellation stuff was "disinfo" and not the "real" attack. And, just a few minutes ago, the German source saying that they are under pressure to attack airliners with SAMs or blow up chem plants. IF they had nukes (I don't believe they do), why would they limit themselves to something so "ordinary"?

So, either we stopped the big, humongous nuke attack and made no noise about it (possible), or the "we will kill you ALL! NOW!" is just more Baghdad-Bob style Arab braggadacio.

To my thinking, it is all BS and no more than "jihad by the keyboard". That leaves Sean's sources, which could be "leaking" this info for any number of reasons, the possible motives of which are infinite.
