I understand it takes time, but, in the mean time there are 60 new Pakistani terrorists camps cropping up. Sounds like a bit of a disconnect to me.

Musharraf is not fully in control of the entire Pakistan territory. I read there are a lot of mountainous, lawless regions, where the warloards rule. Also, the ISI practically created the Taliban and I am sure they have connections to AQ still.
Remember the attempts on Musharraf's life was also based on inside info.
I think Musharraf made his tough choice a while ago and is indeed committed to eradicating the terrorists and extremists, but, as I said, it's a very difficult task.
