Here is just one of many sources. Speculation as to who the papers may implicate varies.

(Snip) It's worth noting that Khan's sole admission of guilt is thought by many to have been staged to deflect criticism of Musharraf and other senior military figures who may have endorsed, known of, or suspected this black-market trade of nuclear secrets. (Khan's daughter, for one, is believed to have gone abroad with documentation that could implicate the military.)

Many thanks for that link. I thought things were interesting one year ago. The plot just keeps getting thicker.

I saw Benazir Bhutto (your post 1614?) last night as well. She certainly is not a Musharraf fan. Her ideas seemed to have more merit than Musharraf's (more security, cracking down on the terrorists, etc.). Musharraf, IMO seems to "soft". Of course, he is trying to avoid all too frequent assassination attempts. And I'm sure we (the common folk) will never hear the whole story on this sordid nuclear technology selling affair. I'm afraid it runs far and deep and I wouldn't be surprised if someone has their hands in Musharraf's pockets and he in theirs.

I don't know how they run their elections in Pakistan. Do you know, did Benazir Bhutto choose not to run for office again, or did she run and she lost the election?
