Which came first- the chicken or the egg?

I've been plenty p-oed at Bush over any number of things, from Campaign Finance Reform (which is still the one which irks me the most) to his spending to his immigration proposal.

Then I see the most rabid of antiBushbots ranting and raving and sounding no different than Sid Blumenthal on meth, and it puts my discontent in perspective. I may be unhappy with many of Bush's policies, but those guys miss the forest for the trees and parrot half the crap I hear from Michael Moore, Noam Chomskey, and half of the Democrat presidential candidates.

Bush's best friends on this site are the overzealous third-party types. They (not you) are devoid of logic, overwhelmingly obnoxious, and about as appealing as a metal shavings and glass shards milkshake.

That milkshake sounds tasty.

I am really angry at Bush for what he's doing, but I will never vote for one of these democrats. I just may sit out or vote third party. I don't think Bush has a snowball's chance in hell of winning PA anyway so maybe my vote is only symbolic anyway.

I do try to be reasonable on this board because we are allies on more issues than not. What we are disagreeing with here, IMO, is strategy more than anything else.

Pledging undying support to any candidate or party is self destructive to one's own interests and principles. If a pol can take you for granted, he can ignore you and most here don't want to acknowledge the position that puts us in.

Thanks for being reasonable (while being wrong) ;-)

seamole (118): I've said it before and I'll say it again now. The worst electoral damage to Bush's cause here is done by overzealous Bush supporters, not the third party recruiters.

William McKinley (118): Bush's best friends on this site are the overzealous third-party types.

I agree with statement #1, and disagree with #2.

I think the President's best friends are anyone who shoots straight.
