I am so sorry to read your conclusion. When I saw your post I was overwhelmed with work and I thought, how can I explain this lesituation to somebody who seems to have just chanced on the picture, where to start? I came back a few days later to see you calling Joan, who tried to give you a clear and unemotional explanation, än "apologist." That's so easy to say. Shall we call those who have charged Serbs with every unnameable crime äpologists also? Is everybody an apologist no matter what they say? Why not? Since you so readily jumped at this adjective good luck to you and goodbye. Why should you care anyway? The fable is going into some history books. But there are still plenty of respectable honest writers around and the truth will come out.

Okay, but some words about those "several people". The first to sling mud at us, GeraldP, is an Albanian in Texas. So, don't you think he has an agenda on this thread - namely to discredit us?

Then there's Hoplite, the most notorious nemesis to us balkan freepers who believe there's been far too much propaganda and manipulation regarding the balkans. He always supports the official position and that the US and international community can essentially do no wrong. He has never been to the balkans himself and will argue with those who've been there (Americans and Brits, for example) who say he is wrong. He has a highly insultive manner, and when really angry, has wished death on at least 2 balkan freepers - "Destro" and Zoran (who had many nicks on here).

Yes, many Freepers steer clear of the debates and fights on the balkan threads. Perhaps because of lack of interest, the continual bickering, and the writing (and sometimes pictures) of the horror and atrocities. People probably want to pick and choose what stresses them and don't want to worry too much about something new that isn't really on their minds or worrying them. Those of us who post, tend to be very aggravated already (about the balkan situation or having to prove their point of view) without FR, so FR, at least for me, is more of an outlet than wandering into it an adopting a new thing to be concerned about.

Are you interested in the 'biggest trial' of the century that's been ongoing now for two years? It's NATO versus Milosevic at the Hague and confirms every thing Joan is saying. That is , the Serbs were and are the victims here. Check it out, get some reality of what's been going on.

Hitlers' Germany slaughtered Serbs by the thousands and still now are hell bent to replace them in the Balkans. The monastaries have belonged to the Monks for centuries. Why do you support cleansing people from their land?
