More than any other nation in the European Union, Greeks believe that US foreign policy damages world peace and does not help fight terrorism, according to an EU-wide poll, the Greek part of which was published here Monday.

Eighty-five percent of Greeks said the United States played a negative role for world peace, against a EU-average of 53 percent, according to autumn figures of the Eurobarometer, a EU-sponsored, periodical survey across the bloc's 15 current member states.

Washington's policies also played a negative role in the struggle against terrorism, three in four Greeks said, compared with a 37-percent average across the EU.

exactly...our policy damages world peace but the fact they had one of the most dangerous airports in the world or willingly accept money from American tourists, well that's alright.

Hope word about this spreads and the same thing that happened to American tourism in France takes shape in Greece!

I don't give a #%!! about what the greeks think about world peace. I care about American peace. What GW said still holds true. "If you're not with us, then you're against us..." If Macedonea falls to the muslims actively working out of Kosovo and Albania, then those whining babies will be crying outta the other side of their face, and looking for us to bail them out.

I have read — I believe it may have been in an article by Victor Davis Hanson — that some Greek reataurants and bars have signs saying "No Americans or British allowed."

I'm truly sorry to hear this. I was in Greece about 30 years ago and it was by far the coolest (not temperature wise) country in ALL of Europe I had visited.

I've been to many ancient ruins and the Parthenon was just about the spookiest place I've ever been as far as feeling like there were ancient spirits flying around. Like a haunted house. I got exactly the same feeling at the Gettysburg battlefield, FWIW.
