HOWEVER, if someone believes in an all-powerful, all-knowing Creator-God (a matter of faith which cannot be disproved by Science) and that person believes that God was responsible for creating the evolutionary laws which produced man (again, a matter of faith which cannot be disproved by science), it is not possible for that individual to believe that man was a truly random product.

I am sorry, but evolution is the single unifying concept of biology. If you don't buy into the random nature that the theory of evolution states, how can you possibly study biology....You seem to want to cherry pick parts of Evolution and declare them absolutely neccessary to understand Biology. There is no reason why a person can hold any view of Evolution they choose and still be a brilliant Biologists.

I won't try to pretend to know every facet of your faith/bible interpretation if you stop pretending to know what the theory of evolution states. Deal?

I'm not cherry-picking anything. I believe in evolution, I believe it occurs by incremental changes in the genome, that those changes which improve the survival of the organism are purpetuated, and that a long series of these changes led to man.

What I reject is the concept that such changes are truly "random". Since I believe in an all-powerful creator-God who forumalted the rules of chemistry, physics and biology by which the world operates, He knew what the ultimate product of those rules would be and that was what He was aiming at.

Not cherry picking there. I think the Creationists are cherry-pciking parts of the Bible to interpret literally, and other parts to ignore or overlook.
